South End Beaches/Alder LaneIf you visit the Hilton Head Beaches near Alder Lane you can park across South Forest Beach Road at the meters. This Hilton Head Island Beach, which is near the Marriott Grand Ocean Resort, one of the Hilton Head Beach Hotels, is quiet and tucked away from it all. At this beach you will find restrooms and a drink machine; if you are staying in Lodging in Hilton Head Island South Carolina near the south end of Hilton Head Island SC then this is a great, relatively unknown area. This beach is also wheelchair accessible via mats. Coligny BeachThis Hilton Head Beach can be found where Coligny Circle and Pope Avenue meet with South Forest Beach Drive. Coligny Beach is the most populated and busiest Hilton Head Island Beach; here you will find amenities such as volleyball nets, a nice outdoor bar near the beach at the Hilton Head Holiday Inn Beach Hotel. Here lifeguards are on duty and you can rent beach equipment such as Hobie Cats, recumbent bikes, sand trikes, and umbrellas. This location is also wheelchair accessible via mats. Parking for Coligny Beach can be found behind the Smokehouse restaurant in the town's parking lot. Access it via Pope Avenue across from the Exxon Station; there is a cost for parking here. You can come and go and, as long as you keep your receipt, you will not have to pay again if you leave and come back the same day. Also there is parking on Coligny Circle on the North side of the area. The business park nearby, Coligny Plaza, offers many Hilton Head Shops and Hilton Head Island SC Restaurants and cafés. Business owners ask that you please do not park in the plaza's parking lot to go to the beach; your vehicle may be towed. Singleton Beach - Dreissen Beach ParkSingleton Beach can be found off William Hilton Parkway at Bradley Beach Road. This area has lifeguards, plenty of great parking, restrooms, sand showers, and vending machines. Families like this area because it has a playground, picnic tables, and a grilling area. The beach is wheelchair accessible via mats and there is a boardwalk, although the boardwalk here is quite long. If you park and explore here, take note of the number on your parking space because when you pay at the machine in the building that houses the restrooms, you will need to know your number. Fish Haul Creek Park - Mitchellville Beach ParkThis beach is on the Port Royal Sound side of the island, and if you desire privacy, it may be worth visiting. There is little parking near the beach, but if you park and take the walk, you will be virtually alone as hardly anyone ever uses this beach area on the island. You can enjoy some privacy while Hilton Head Beach Fishing here. Islander's Beach ClubThis beach is intended to be for locals as parking is only available to those who have purchased annual permits, which are only available to Hilton Head Property owners. However, there is nothing stopping anyone from visiting the park by bike or having someone drop your party off. You will find restrooms, changing rooms, a playground, drink machine, sand showers, and picnic tables, and the beach is wheelchair accessible. The beach is located off Folly Field Road at Sparkleberry Lane. Burke's BeachThis Hilton Head Island Beach is located off William Hilton Parkway (278 Bus. Route) at Burke's Beach Road. There is virtually no parking here and there are no amenities or lifeguards. This is not a very popular beach, but it is still worth mentioning if you want to explore all of the coastline on the island. Folly Field Beach is located on Hilton Head Island SC just off Starfish Road; the beach is found off of Folly Field Rd. Parking for this Hilton Head SC Beach is limited
(there are only 52 metered spaces), but at this location there are lifeguards on duty, restrooms, sand showers, and water fountains. The Folly Field Beach area is known for its rip tide and powerful undertows, and swimmers are advised to be cautious and careful; because of the powerful currents here, this beach is popular with amateur surfers. This beach is also wheelchair accessible via the mat system.
